Surfing and Beach Activities
The beach is the main attraction in Huntington Beach. With over 8 miles of oceanfront, there's plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the sun, sand and surf.
Huntington Beach is nicknamed "Surf City USA" for its perfect waves and surf culture. The consistent swells attract surfers of all levels year-round. Other popular beach activities include beach volleyball, swimming, body boarding and sunbathing.
Several piers provide excellent views and fishing opportunities. At the iconic Huntington Beach Pier, visitors can grab a bite at Ruby's Diner and watch surfers in the waves below.
Downtown Huntington Beach
Just inland from the beach is the lively Downtown Huntington Beach, centered around Main Street. The downtown area has a fun beach vibe with shops, restaurants, bars and nightlife.
