Hendersonville is a quaint little city in Sumner County, Tennessee. It's the fourth-largest city in the Nashville metropolitan area after Nashville, Murfreesboro, and Franklin and the 10th largest in Tennessee.
The city was settled in 1780 by John Ward and his brother-in-law John Miller. They named it after General Richard Henderson, who helped them find the land they wanted to settle on. The population grew steadily until the Civil War in 1861 when it saw an influx of Union troops. After the war ended in 1865, Hendersonville experienced rapid growth as people moved into this area to start families and businesses. Today there are dozens of bars and restaurants that have been established here over time, along with many different types of stores ranging from clothing shops to grocery stores.
It's a pretty safe place to live, too—the unemployment rate is low and it has a very low crime rate. The cost of living is also pretty reasonable, so you don't have to worry about spending more than you can afford when you're looking for a new place to live.
Hendersonville offers just about everything you could want from a small city: parks, museums, historic sites, family-friendly activities...the list goes on! There's even some great shopping if you're looking for something new to wear or decorate with.
