American Samoa maps

American Samoa (in English : American Samoa, in Samoa : Samoa Amelika) is an unincorporated territory of the United States in the Pacific Ocean south. It is one of sixteen Territories under the supervision of the Decolonization Committee of the United Nations. It is located west of the Cook Islands, north of the island of Tonga, 500 km from Tokelau to the south, and east of the islands of Wallis and Futuna. The capital and most populous city is Pago Pago on the island of Tutuila . The islands are part of the Samoan Islands archipelago, which also includes the independent state of Samoa. American Samoa is the southernmost territory of the United States and has a population of about 60 000 inhabitants. Summed across the surface of the islands would be slightly higher than the federal district of Washington. (76.1 square kilometers).
