Situated in Michigan's Lower Peninsula, Saginaw County is home to a variety of small cities, quaint towns, and rural communities. The city of Saginaw serves as the county seat and is the largest city in the county, with a population of around 48,000 residents. Once a thriving lumber and manufacturing center, Saginaw still retains some of its old industrial architecture and blue-collar charm. Visitors to Saginaw can enjoy museums like the Castle Museum of Saginaw County History and the Saginaw Art Museum.
Just south of Saginaw lies the smaller city of Saginaw Township with over 40,000 residents. This suburb contains many shopping centers and retail developments. The nearby city of Kochville is home to Saginaw Valley State University.
