Eden Prairie is an affluent city and suburb southwest of Minneapolis in Hennepin County, Minnesota. With a population of around 64,000, it is the 12th largest city in Minnesota.
History and Development
The area was originally forest and prairie inhabited by Native Americans. Settlement by European immigrants began in the mid-19th century. Eden Prairie slowly transformed into a suburban commuter town over the course of the 20th century.
