Texarkana is by far the largest city in Bowie County, with a population of around 37,000. Located right along the Texas-Arkansas border, Texarkana straddles both states. The Texas side of Texarkana serves as the county seat. Key landmarks include the Ace of Clubs House and the Perot Theatre.
New Boston is located along Interstate 30 in northeastern Bowie County, about 30 miles from Texarkana. It has a population of around 5,000 residents. The economy is tied to the lumber industry and the Red River Army Depot.
